Feast Day of Saint Maximilian Kolbe ❤️
If you don't know of him.
Maximilian Maria Kolbe was a Polish Catholic priest and Franciscan friar who volunteered to die in place of a man named Franciszek Gajowniczek in the German death camp of Auschwitz, located in German-occupied Poland during World War II. Yes Catholic Priests we're taken to The Death Camps. His story is so much more than this though.
And as someone in long term recovery I gotta say his story gives me so much hope.
